Volunteer work days

These days are an opportunity to work together to enhance the natural beauty and biodiversity of the meadows. Work days begin at 10am. If you would like to come please let us know beforehand by email so that we can notify you of any changes of plan due to weather.

We are pleased that during these times of Covid, government restrictions permit our outdoor volunteer days to continue. In fact this connection with nature and physical activity can be a healthy distraction from more difficult parts of our lives.

But please observe social distancing and respect other people’s needs at all times. We will provide sanitiser for hands and tool handles.

In happier times we provide volunteers with soup for lunch plus plentiful tea and biscuits, but we can’t share food and drink and utensils at present. So please bring your own refreshments and utensils until restrictions are lifted.

Wear clothes and boots to suit the weather, ones you don’t mind getting dirty or torn by brambles. Bring work gloves and handtools (fork, spade, secateurs or loppers) if you have them.
